Biography

I am the CEO of Glafabra Therapeutics and a biotechnology entrepreneur with a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Boston University and an MBA from Westminster University. I have more than 25 years of experience in genome biology, genetic manipulation, therapeutic development, and biotechnology company-building. I founded Knudra Transgenics, a company focused on custom transgenic models in C. elegans and zebrafish, which was acquired by NemaMetrix, now InVivo Biosystems, in 2017. I later served as Chief Science Officer at InVivo Biosystems, where my work included product innovation, business development, market outreach, and strategic planning. I also founded Devinebio to support rare disease organizations and emerging biotechnology companies in developing genetic medicine programs. In addition, I serve as Scientific Advisory Board Chair for cureCADASIL and am a co-founder of the CADASIL Disease Modeling Group. At Glafabra Therapeutics, I am involved in developing cell-based gene therapy approaches for enzyme deficiency disorders, including Fabry, Pompe, and Gaucher diseases.
