Biography
Tetsu Yung is Director of JAPAC Strategy at Glafabra Therapeutics, where he supports the company’s strategy, partnerships, and regional engagement across Japan and Asia-Pacific for its Fabry disease program and broader rare disease platform.
He is also the Founder and CEO of TETSUNAGI Consulting Inc., a Canada-based life sciences consulting firm focused on Japan-global biopharma collaboration. He has more than 20 years of experience across academia, pharmaceutical R&D, CRO operations, clinical development, and cross-border business development.
Tetsu’s work focuses on helping biotech companies, pharmaceutical companies, investors, and ecosystem organizations navigate Japan-related partnering, licensing, clinical development, regulatory strategy, and market-entry considerations. His experience spans rare diseases, advanced therapies, neurology, ophthalmology, early-stage biotech assets, and global clinical development.
Previously, Tetsu worked at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Eisai, and Covance/Labcorp/Fortrea Japan. His experience includes clinical development planning, CRO/vendor engagement, regulatory preparation, project management, and coordination between Japanese and international stakeholders.
Tetsu holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology and an MBA in Finance and International Management. He is based in Canada and works primarily in English and Japanese.
