Biography
Brian Christie is Chair and Co-founder of BioTech Social Inc., the parent company of BioTech Funding Portal, an SEC-registered, FINRA-member funding portal focused on capital formation for early-stage life science companies. He focuses on expanding access to regulated investment crowdfunding for biotech and life science innovators by building compliant platforms that connect issuers with investors, mentors, and broader innovation networks. He brings deep experience in regulated crowdfunding through his leadership with the Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA), where he serves as Vice-Chair, Co-Chair of the Tax Innovation Subcommittee, and Chair of the SEC Liaison & Affairs Subcommittee, following earlier service as President (2024) and board director (2018-present). He is also founding advisor of Crowdfund Holdings Innovators (CHI) and CEO of Brainsy, Inc. He believes regulated investment crowdfunding can help address critical gaps in life science financing, especially where traditional capital is limited.
