Meet Sidney (Sid) Norton, Acting Chief Financial Officer.

Sid brings 25 years across private, government, and not-for-profit healthcare finance. He currently serves as CFO of Intermountain Primary Children's Hospitals, and previously held senior financial and operational roles at Cincinnati Children's, including VP of the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute, plus five years in system finance at Indiana University Health. He started his career at Lilly in M&A and corporate strategy, then spent time in Indiana state government as CFO for the Family and Social Service Administration. Sid holds a BA in Economics from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School.

He's the person making sure the financial side of a pre-IND biotech — burn, runway, capital structure — stays disciplined while the science moves fast.

For anyone who's managed finance through a company's pre-clinical-to-clinical transition: what surprised you most about that shift?
